Sacred Warfare

May 18th, 2010 mjaco 5 comments

I want to start out this article on Sacred warfare by laying a little foundation on past lives or reincarnation as it is widely called now.

In my next two books I will go into detail on several past lives that I’ve had. These lives as I’ll talk about in the next book in the trilogy series inform who we are in our current life. I’ll also discuss in this upcoming book how we can learn from our past lives in a way that they will allow us to release old traumas and connect with abilities that we have learned in previous lives and bring them forward into this life.

Below on the left is a rendition of Civil War Brigadier General Lewis B. Armistead by the artist Ken Hendricksen. http://www.civilwarartist.com/index.htm

Below on the right is a picture of me (Michael Jaco) a few years ago while I was working a security contract in Afghanistan.

(Note) Unfortunately the picture of me is not appearing for most people. The file that I used for this picture doesn’t translate into this format. When I pull it up I can see it but many of you cannot. I will get my website designer to look into it. Meantime look at the author picture of me on the right side of the website and imagine me with a beard almost identical to the one in the painting.

I’d visited the civil war battlefield of Gettysburg several years prior and had a strong intuition that I had been present at that battlefield during that fateful battle. The feeling was strongest when I toured the high water mark area of the Confederacy at the site known as “The Angle“. This was where General Armistead led the famous charge over the stone wall at the top of the battlefield. After crossing an open field stretching one mile under withering cannon and rifle fire he charged across the low stone wall with two hundred men while yelling “Give um the Cold Steal Boys”.

When we reincarnate we often carry many of the same traits as we’ve had in previous lives. The wounds that General Armistead received on that day are similar to injuries I’ve had in this life. I have had my left knee cap shattered in the SEAL teams while on a training exercise and have had several problems with my right shoulder, both of which were wound areas that were inflicted upon Armistead that day at “The Angle”. The facial features are very similar in these two pictures. The nose, eyes, cheeks, forehead, build and if you could see them the hands are very similar.

Now the reason I bring this up is to point out striking similarities between these two men. I will bring out many more lives and how they play into current life challenges in my next book. Much of what I’m going to share with you now is based on several past life readings, past life regressions, intuitive memories and historical facts as I have been able to piece them together.

The life that is coming forward very strongly for me now and one that I want to use to bring out my point about Sacred Warfare is the life I had during Pharaoh Akhenaten’s rein.

Pharaoh’s were often considered gods because of the extensive initiation training that was required to rule as a pharaoh. Many -would be -pharaoh’s would not survive all the extensive training that they would undergo over several years timeframe. Much of this training was conducted throughout several temples along the Nile river. The last temple or crown was located at Heliopolis, which is close to the Nile river delta, the great pyramids and the present day city of Cairo.  Moses who’s mother was an Egyptian princess and who’s father was Jewish trained extensively at Heliopolis. Another famous biblical figure that would train at Heliopolis and that I would meet in a later life was Jesus.

Akhenaten introduced monotheistic worship of the god Atun . Both Ra and Horus characteristics were part of the god, but the god was also considered to be both masculine and feminine simultaneously. The idea was that all creation was thought to emanate from the god and to exist within the god. In particular, the god was not depicted in anthropomorphic (human) form, but as rays of light extending from the sun’s disk.

Akhenaten did not exclude the other gods that were worshiped throughout Egypt. He simply stated that there was one god that he was focused on and no other god was above this god that existed in all things. This concept incensed the priest class because they were in competition to attract pilgramages to their respective gods temples. This was how the priests made money and stayed in power. Akhenaten also implemented a policy that nepotism within the priestly ranks was to stop. Priests would be in top positions only by their proven service to the people. This further angered the priestly class.

Another thing that created a rift was the construction of a completely new city away from the former capital of Thebes to Akhenaten.

Small Temple of the Aten at Akhetaten

Pharaoh Akhenaten would move to this new city after only a few years as Pharaoh with his lovely wife Nefertiti.

This new city was located in the approximate center of Egypt as measured from the four corners. The Nile river was considered the spine or serpent energetic line of Egypt with seven major points along the Nile corresponding to the energy centers of the body or Chakras.

I was a Nubian prince who was the head of the Pharaoh’s chariot army during this time.  I displayed a gift for telepathically calling animals and could bring groups of lions into battle. The movies and stories of Tarzan communicating with the animals are remnants of this ability that gifted Nubian warriors displayed.

My skills were made known to Akhenaten by Horemheb who was the commander in chief of the army. I would be trained in many of the temples to send out energies that would bind the enemies of Egypt before they could attack. I visited a temple at Karnak in this life and had memories of this and even sat in the same location of  a garden that was used by several of us trained in this art. We would wear breast plates with different jewels and crystals that would heighten our abilities.

Some of the obelisks that still remain were actually used as radio antenna for helping to transmit our peaceful thoughts to other obelisks throughout Egypt. The obelisks were quarried from granite that has particular crystalline structures that created pezioelectric energies that we connected with and used for crystalline consciousness magnification and transferance. I spontaneously started using these thoughts which I call thoughts of love to stop attacks as I describe in The Intuitive Warrior. This past life is where this ability was honed to a great extent.

Some of my training was conducted in Heliopolis which had many obelisks in ancient times. The obelisk on the bank of the Thames in London, which I have visited recently, and the one in Central Park in New York were both a pair of obelisks that I connected with at one time during my training.

Akhenaten would eventually call me to his new city Akhentaten to help keep the city secure. When I arrived I was surprised to find the city had no defense system. No walls, no fortifications, nothing visible to protect the city. I was to use my powers of crystalline consciousness to protect the city. The city was laid out with no fortifications like the Greek city Knossos on the island of Crete. Akhenaten had visited this city and had designed Akhentaten after it. Interestingly I would incarnate in a future life on Knossos and later fight in the Trojan War of which I will also discuss in my next book.

It was during this time at Akhentaten that I would meet my wife who was a Nubian princess. Her aunt was the beautiful Queen Tiye,

wife of the Pharaoh Thutmoses III and father of Akhentaten. It was during Thutmoses III ’s reign that Egypt reached a pinnacle of power and prosperity.

Another interesting point I’d like to share is that my current wife was this same Nubian Princess. I have had many past lives with my current wife all of which I will share in my next book. We often reincarnate with the same soul group and will shift responsibilities so that we can learn from each other and help each other out.

It was at Akhentaten that I would learn Sacred Warfare. I will explain what this is in a moment but let me get through some history first.

When Akhenaten was secretly assasinated he was replaced by his son King Tutankhamun.  He would break his leg in a chariot accident hunting lions. He was surreptitiously denied treatment until an infection set in. By the time treatment was started it was too late.

Tutankhamun was briefly replaced by the Vizier and Pharaoh Ty and then by the general Horemheb. I was able to calm Horemheb and convince him not to completely wipe out all the reforms that had been started by Akhenaten. The military had also been discredited and marginalized during Akhenaten’s reign.

Horemheb’s Vizier and former High priest of the discredited religion of Amun was Ramesses.

It was during the pharaoh Ramesses short reign that the Jewish people that had helped build Akhentaten and had learned and adopted the monotheistic  religion started under Akhenaten decided to make a break from Egypt. Their leader was the half prince and Heliopolis trained Moses. I would leave with Moses and escape over a little known passage over the Red Sea. Moses was trained in Astrology at Heliopolis and knew that their would be an alignment of the planets that would happen only once in a great while that cause part of the Red Sea to become shallow for a brief period. During a ruse of conducting sacred ceremony the Jewish people were able to escape along with several Egyptians that had adopted the new religion.

I would train Joshua in the art of sacred warfare and he would use it in the battle of Jericho.

Sacred Warfare was used in this battle by surrounding the city. One gate was left open for people to leave. Trumpets, drums, chants and sacred songs were sung around the city and thought was sent into the city to release the people from their spell and bring them out. Thus the men, women and children died to their old negative self and became spiritualized. Many people including soldiers left the city and were liberated from the tyranny of the negative rulers. Only a few were left and then these remaining people were tried similar to the Nuremberg trials for the worst of the bunch. The rest of the city was taken apart brick by brick and refashioned into a new city. Thus the walls came tumbling down. It was important to take out the bricks from the old city because it held a negative vibration.

I believe that sacred warfare can and will again come into use. This method and the ability of those trained in this art of sacred warfare will replace the dark art of war that we have been subjected to for much too long.

I have already been quietly training many young men in the preliminary steps to reestablishing this lost sacred art that will be necessary as we transition in to a new golden age of humanity. By reading The Intuitive Warrior many more will awaken and this process will accelerate.

I know for some of you this article is probably a bit of a stretch for your minds. But yet you will go to the movies and watch Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Matrix and a host of other movies of the same genre and be wonderfully entertained. I’m guiding you towards a reality that exists and is unfolding right now. We are completely capable of realizing Sacred Warfare right now. I have been doing sacred warfare for several years now on a small scale. If more people believed it could be transformed into a much larger scale virtually overnight.

Using our Intuitive abilities to influence our environment

May 13th, 2010 mjaco 15 comments

* Update* 16 May 2010

Here is a video on YouTube that is indicating a time frame for significant earthquake activity. This energy can be dissipated by conscious thought as I speak about below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Y7r-OD6Yg

I speak about how I have used my intuitive abilities to have an effect on weather in The Intuitive Warrior. I have had friends tell me how they have been able to absorb and buy off on everything in the book but seem to have trouble wrapping their thoughts around controlling the weather with thought.

One of the guys I’m working with now that has read my book and was a Navy SEAL for many years told me the same thing recently. So I said OK lets work together to bring in rain so that you will believe. So the two of us and another guy that I work with started focusing on bringing in rain to the area that we are in. This area has had no rain for a long time and is experiencing a drought. So with no forecast of rain anywhere on the horizon we began our focus. Within two days it rained. While it was raining there was still no forecast of rain. We had a very nice soaking rain of one hour with thunder and lighting.

My one friend was impressed but still skeptical. So I said lets do it again. Same results two days later. No forecast of rain but a nice hour and a half thunder storm. Now he was starting to believe. So he said OK lets bring in rain one more time. Same result.

One of the main reasons I wanted to get these guys believing and focusing on manifesting results through their thoughts is because I’m preparing them to project the thought of love out to stop attacks. I have been doing this by myself for several years now and see the possibility after the release of my book that others will begin to do the same. I foresee a group of special operators that will be inserted in the future to war torn areas to do this kind of work. They will be trained warriors at the special forces level but will also be able to project the intuitive thought of love into an environment to stop fighting.

I have spoken on this site before about the Mahrishi effect and how focused positive thought can drop crime and accident rates, as well as reduce the effects of war and many other positive effects.

Decreased Crime Rate

When one per cent of the population of a city or town practices Maharishis Transcendental Meditation Programme, the crime rate significantly decreases over the long term. This is known as the Maharishi Effect, which is the phenomenon of the rise of coherence in the collective consciousness of any community.

Reduction of Armed Conflict

Large groups of individuals practisingMaharishis Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme create an environment of harmony and coherence for themselves and for the whole world.

Reduction of Domestic and International Conflict

When the number of individuals practisingMaharishis Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme in a group excedes the square root of one per cent of a nations population, there is a significant reduction in conflict both at home and throughout the world.

Increased Harmony
Between Nations

The collective practice of Maharishis Transcendental Medtiation and TM-Sidhi Programme creates harmony and coherence throughout the environment, leading to reduced hostility and increased cooperation between nations.

So here we have scientific evidence over two decades of study of how thought has had a very positive effect on the environment.

Now the real reason I want to bring this into peoples awareness at this time is that I see major earth changes coming down the pike. I told my lovely Goddess wife Tracy Jo a couple weeks ago that I was getting intuitions about a major Southern California earthquake coming soon.

I have had my intuitional abilities expand into a new area that started over two years ago. I began getting similar feelings that I get when an attack is about to happen but they had a different feel than I’d had before. I felt that there was going to be a great loss of life and I could sense the direction and area but it didn’t make any sense to me at the time. When a major earthquake hit China on May 12, 2008 I realized what I was connecting with.

Magnitude 8.0 Ms[1] / 7.9 Mw[2]

17,921 missing[6]

374,643 injured
(as of September 22, 2008 18:18CST)[7]

I have been refining this new intuitive ability and with the recent earthquake in Chile on February 27, 2010 I and several others throughout the world were able to have a calming effect on the tsunami that was heading for Hawaii.

El Gran Terremoto de Valdivia (The Great Earthquake of Valdivia)
Date 22 May 1960
Magnitude 9.5 Mw[1]
Depth 33 km
Epicenter location Cañete
Countries or regions affected Chile
Casualties 2231, 3000, 5700[2] or 6000[3]

The 1960 Valdivia earthquake or Great Chilean earthquake (SpanishGran terremoto de Chile/Valdivia) of 22 May 1960 is to date the most powerful earthquake ever recorded, rating 9.5 on the moment magnitude scale. It occurred in the afternoon (19:11 GMT, 14:11 local time) and its resulting tsunami affected southern ChileHawaiiJapan, the Philippines, eastern New Zealand, southeast Australia, and theAleutian Islands in Alaska.

The epicenter was near Cañete (see map) some 900 km (435 miles) south of Santiago, with Temuco being the closest large city, whileValdivia was the most affected city. It caused localised tsunamis that severely battered the Chilean coast, with waves up to 25 metres (82 ft). The main tsunami raced across the Pacific Ocean and devastated Hilo, Hawaii. Waves as high as 10.7 metres (35 ft) were recorded 10,000 kilometres (6,000 miles) from the epicenter, and as far away as Japan and the Philippines.

The death toll (and rate) and monetary losses arising from such a widespread disaster can never be precisely known. Various estimates of the total number of fatalities from the earthquake and tsunamis have been published, with the USGS citing studies with figures of 2231, 3000, or 5700 killed,[2] and another source uses an estimate of 6000 dead.[3] Different sources have estimated the monetary cost ranged from 400 million to 800 million US dollars[2] (or 2.9 to 5.8 billion in 2010 dollars, adjusted for inflation.)

I have no doubt that all the people that focused their positive, calming, thought energy into the waters after the more recent and similar devastating quake had a major effect on causing this to be a non-event. Scientists were perplexed and mystified  but not the people that were involved in changing this energy. I remember remote viewing the waters as the energy wave raced across the pacific and focused my calming thoughts of love into the water as I know many others did.

This same unconditional love energy can be focused now into the California falt lines that are now under pressure. The following is from Gordon Michael Scallion who I have been following for almost 20 years now. He is a gifted intuitive that has been extremely accurate in his quake predictions over the last several years. He talks on his website and in his excellent book:

Notes from the Cosmos: A Futurist's Insights Into the World of Dream Prophecy and Intuition

Of how the Earth is going through earth changes and predicted these events long ago. They are now beginning to unfold.

I believe that these changes can be minimized through consciousness. Mr. Scallion has said the same thing in his newsletters for manyfmna_ad years. Humanity has the ability to have a direct affect on their environment through consciousness.

Here is a recent post:

4.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits First Fracture Line
by Gordon Michael Scallion | May 10, 2010
Intuitive Flash Newsletter Update | MatrixInstitute.com
In my April 5, 2010 update following the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Baja, Mexico on April 4, I stated: “Numerous aftershocks  have already reached into the U.S. As most members are aware, this recent quake rests on my predicted First West Coast Fracture – a line running north from the Baja through Bakersfield on to Eureka. (For details, see my “Future Map of North America.”) This recent quake tells me that forces are now building daily both in the Eureka and the Baja regions. Once Bakersfield begins to experience swarming know that large quakes in the predicted fracture zone will begin to occur. None of us have a date when the actual fracture will occur, only that physical events of quakes along the predicted First Fracture Line are now a reality. It may take years before forces become sufficient enough to cause the actual fracture. As usual I will keep you updated as I receive any insights.”
On Saturday May 8, 2010 a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the Bakersfield, CA region,http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/ci10657701.html.
While this single event does not constitute a “swarming” (multiple earthquakes in same region) it does indicate that those “forces” Ipreviously noted for the region are building, and the 4.5 earthquake may be the start of something larger to come. We should watch for more activityin the line that stretches from Eureka to Bakersfield to Baja, to occur this summer.

So how do we change a future probable event? We often think of time as linear as I speak about in The Intuitive Warrior but we can move outside of linear time with our consciousness. By focusing our intuitive thoughts of love towards a desired outcome we can directly affect the event on the linear time continuum.

We do this first of all by believing in our ability to have a positive effect on these building energies.

Secondly we focus thoughts of love towards a positive outcome. I do this by imagining many smaller tremblers dissipating the energy vice one massive earthquake.

Do not hold fear of this event because this will increase the likely hood of the event manifesting as it is now in the continuum.

The more positive energy that is put into this event not occuring in a massive release of energy at once vice several smaller ones the more likely it will happen.

Many more people will need to be involved in the future on these projects. I hope that many of you reading this will begin to open yourselves to the possibility that you can also help in shifting these energies into a positive outcome.

If you would like even more information on a wide spectrum of information including earth changes, that is very well researched then I highly recommend David Wilcock’s work. I have met and experienced David’s work and it is some of the most cutting edge intuitive work on the planet.

The Intuitive Warrior featured on Well Being and Health

May 10th, 2010 mjaco No comments

We are pleased that Evan of Canberra, Australia has written a review of The Intuitive Warrior on his blog space Well Being and Health.

Evan

When I was a SEAL I made several trips to the land down under and worked with the Australian SAS. I feel that these trips were some of the most rewarding trips of my life. The people of Australia are easily some of the friendliest people in the world with a wonderful attitude on life.

Evan has an excellent website. Looking through his information it is obvious we have many similar interests. We also both desire that our shared knowledge will be of benefit to others.

I have included the comments section after Evan’s review. Of course you can go to his site and see the review along with a treasure trove of information by clicking on Evan’s picture.

Currently The Intuitive Warrior is in the top 5 listing of Borders/Australia. It comes in at number 4 in the Mind/Body/Soul category. http://www.borders.com.au/book/intuitive-warrior-lessons-from-a-navy-seal-on-unleashing-your-hidden-potential/7121744/

The Intuitive Warrior: lessons from a Navy SEAL on unleashing your hidden potential by Michael Jaco

Shattering Stereotypes. This is a surprising book. Try to imagine who would write a book on developing your intuition. The book also talks about the “law of attraction” and speaks about the development of the military-industrial complex and how we need to end war. It also speaks of the need to not be controlled by your ego and experiences of synchronicity.

My bet is that the person you imagined was not a member of the US Special Forces (the Navy SEALS) who has also served in Iraq. Michael Jaco is a very surprising person. This book is his story, especially how he has developed his intuition and the implications that this has.

What the Book’s About? This book is about how Michael developed his intuition – and how you can too. There are practical instructions on the basics of developing your intuition. The instructions are practical and easy to follow.

The development of intuition is told through stories from Michael’s life as a warrior (serving in the US Navy and later as a security contractor). These stories are sometimes quite dramatic. Developing your intuition to help you make better business decisions is one thing; using your intuition in a situation that may save your own life and the lives of those under you command is something else again! Stories about intuition in this situation have a way of commanding attention.

The possible draw back is that the stories are mostly about martial arts and the military. If you don’t like these parts of life then you may not enjoy the book. I must say that I am someone who is well and truly in the peacenik camp – and I think this book is quite worthwhile. Michael makes no attempt to glorify war (and towards the end speaks of the need to end it). He also doesn’t indulge in ‘blood and guts’. No doubt because he has been involved in war, he makes no attempt to give it a Hollywood treatment.

The stories are quite well told and revealing, at least to someone like me who has no interest in things military. The rigours of the training for the Navy SEALS are mind-numbing. I don’t know how anyone survives it.

It also gives a glimpse into the culture of camaraderie that is so necessary in these forces, and is quite different to what is sometimes thought. For instance, that your life literally depends on teamwork. Michael also talks about being a warrior (and dedicated to a higher purpose) rather than just a soldier. This book gives a good glimpse into the mindset of someone in the special forces.

The Writing? The writing is direct and simple. There are no rhetorical flourishes. A sense of Michael’s personality shines through. Sometimes it feels a little flat and there was the occasional tortured sentence. However, I found that if I read it a chapter at a time instead of reading it straight through that this was not a problem.

This writing breathes authenticity. There is no doubt that Michael is directly reporting his own experiences in a plain and straightforward manner. This is important – some of the things Michael has experienced and the topics he talks about can be quite ‘out there’.

Overall? This is a good book, a well told story and clear instructions on how to develop intuition. Even someone like me, who is fairly much a peacenik, found that I agreed with almost everything in it.

If you would like to develop your intuition this is a great place to start. The instructions are straightforward, it is easy to read and the stories are quite involving.

Would you like to feel less stressed?

Could you do with more joy in your life?

The answer is living authentically. Buy the book or sign up for the course now from my Living Authentically website.

Adelaide says: ?May 9, 2010 at 1:02 pm “Chapter at a time” seems sensible.?Also the warrior-soldier distinction is an important one.?Jaco literally put his life on the line.

Evan says: ?May 9, 2010 at 1:19 pm Hi Adelaide, thanks for your comment.

Michael Jaco says: ?May 9, 2010 at 8:00 pm Hi Evan,?Thanks for the honest, insightful and inspiring review of “The Intuitive Warrior”. I promise to work harder on my sentence structure in the next book. Sometimes even a good editor needs a little something more to work with.?I am in a combat zone as I write this and can tell you that the ideas in the book are being put to practice in transforming war. I have finally been able to find a couple of guys, that I work with, that are practicing using their intuitive abilities and influencing their environment in a positive way. We have had no violence for the entire time we have been focusing our thoughts on love and projecting them out. It helped tremendously that these guys have read my book!?Thanks again for your thoughts and know that with your help a transformation within humanity from one focused on war to one focused on peace is gaining momentum.?Love and light, Michael Jaco

Evan says: ?May 9, 2010 at 8:11 pm Hi Michael, thankyou for the book. It’s wonderful to hear that you have found some people to co-operate with you. Here’s to the momentum for a peaceful humanity!

Tj says: ?May 10, 2010 at 6:50 am Evan glad you could give your insights. I found many other and insightful testimonies as to how and what people thought about Michael Jaco’s book at http://WWW.MICHAELJACO.COM and the Amazon book review site. I feel it is always a good idea to get many insights into things as I am now listening to my own higher self for what is my truth.?I also consider myself a PEACEMAKER and I am very humbled and proud to attach that title to myself. I found this book to shed light on the nature of what a warrior is and why they have been of importance to life. When you begin to understand that within a warrior is a peacemaker you begin to see these beings as a beautiful creation of the Creators/God mind. They are true leaders in the Art of Peace. The are pioneering and leading the way towards Peace. To be able to go into the extreme conditions that they are lead into and to be able to navigate through and many times out of the situations they encounter leads me to understand that someday these warriors will be the ones who no doubt lead us out of the hell of war and, through the gates into a New and Peace Filled World. ?I see this kind of being in Michael Jaco as he tells his stories in his book “The Intuitive Warrior” I see a different type of warrior in his book. One who has begun to understand who he really is and, that ALL THINGS are connected and, that what one believes he has done or will do to another human being no matter his religion, race or gender, he is only TRULY DOING TO HIMSELF. This is a “conscious warrior” and that is important to me. His words are simple and his stories are riveting but his message is POWERFUL and one I believe in very strongly being a Peacemaker.?I would recommend his book to anyone who believes in the power of LOVE and also believes that one must take an action if one is to be of service to his fellow man. In the pages of this book you will see the action Michael has chosen to use time and time again is really the only action necessary to achieve the service required to/by humanity as a whole. That action is LOVE.?Thank you Michael for revealing and sharing parts of yourself as you travel on the path to self mastery.

Evan says: ?May 10, 2010 at 8:31 am Thanks for your comment Tj. Like you I think Michael is leading us a peaceful way of being. Thanks for your comment.

Intuition and Meditation for the Military

May 4th, 2010 mjaco 6 comments

I’d like to start out by saying that The Intuitive Warrior (TIW) is enjoying worldwide popularity. Website visits at this site are now showing 70 different countries all over the world. Visits have increased from an average of 300 visits per month at the start of the website in the middle of October for the month to over 1000 last month. Since the book release in March visits have been increasing on a weekly basis of 20% and rising.

Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders books, Tower Books and many other book companies are selling the book all over the world. TIW is hitting the top of the best seller lists all over the world in several diverse categories including: Military/History/Strategy, Mind/Body/Spirit, Self-Help/Transformation & Self-Help/Personal Growth.

While I felt certain that many would find TIW to be entertaining and of benefit across a broad spectrum, I am learning that is reaching a far more diverse audience than I ever imagined. The following idea was brought to my attention by the publicist that was assigned to me by my book company http://www.bookpros.com/to help in my book campaign. Normally I would be on my on by now but my book company opted to continue the promotion a little longer. Could be another good sign for TIW and for humanity as a whole.

Other interesting developments are that I was just recently contacted by a movie producer from LA that was really moved by TIW and interested in the making the book into a movie. I felt/intuited all along the TIW would be made into a movie. It will be interesting to see how it eventually turns out.

Now on to the article…..

Please note that you can discount meditation and intuition as unnecessary but that would limit and inhibit your evolvement into the best that you can be. After over thirty years as a warrior in one aspect or another, often at the top of the food chain, I can honestly say that if I had never learned meditation and learned to listen to my intuition I would absolutely, many time over, not be alive today. Not only am I alive, but I’m at the best level at almost 50 years old than I have ever been, in many different aspects of my life.

Also you do not have to be a warrior per say to gather a wealth of information from the following. We all move through the archetype of the warrior at some point in our evolution as human beings. The masters at the other side of the warrior archetype are the true leaders of our world.

I’ll let you read the following excellent article first and then I will follow up with my own take. I’ll also script out a meditation that anyone can follow.

Should Marines be trained to meditate?

Mindfulness training—the technique of bringing full attention to present experience and holding it without judgment or emotional engagement, and returning to the present each time the mind wanders—could offer soldiers protection from post-traumatic stress and other anxiety disorders. U. PENN (US)—Just as physical conditioning, weapons training, and fighting skills prepare soldiers for the rigors of combat, meditation practice may give them the mental capacity to withstand the trauma of war.

Amishi Jha, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, is investigating how brain functions can be improved with exercises like stress reduction, mindfulness training, and long-term meditation practices.

Mindfulness training is the technique of deliberately bringing full attention to present experience and holding it there moment to moment, without judgment or emotional engagement, and returning to the present each time the mind wanders.

The clinical value of meditation practice for treating physical and psychological disorders is widely recognized, Jha says. There are more than 250 U.S. medical centers offering mindfulness-based stress-reduction programs.

To investigate the protective effects of mindfulness practices on soldiers, Jha and Elizabeth Stanley, assistant professor of security studies at Georgetown University, provided mindfulness training to Marines preparing for deployment in Iraq. Their findings were published in the journal Emotion and featured inJoint Force Quarterly, the advisory journal of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The training was given to one group of 31 soldiers but not to a control group of 17. In the months prior to deployment, soldiers undergo intense training for physical endurance and mission-critical operational skills, as well as “stress-inoculation” training, which helps habituate them to the extreme mental rigors of combat.

During this period, Jha and Stanley provided the Marines with mindfulness-based mind fitness training, which helped them cope with the pre-deployment training and the stresses of leaving family to face the uncertainties of war.

The eight-week program used mindfulness exercises like focused attention on the breath and mindful movement. Participants kept track of the time they practiced the formal meditation exercises outside the classroom.

Jha evaluated the protective influence of the mindfulness training on working memory and the ability of Marines to regulate emotion. “Our findings suggest that, just as daily physical exercise leads to physical fitness, engaging in mindfulness exercises on a regular basis may improve mind-fitness,” she says.

“Working memory is an important feature of mind-fitness. Not only does it safeguard against distraction and emotional reactivity, but it also provides a mental workspace to ensure quick and considered decisions and action plans.”

Mindfulness training, the researchers suggest, could offer some protection to combatants from post-traumatic stress and other anxiety disorders, and it might provide the clarity of thinking needed for soldiers fighting in challenging and ambiguous counterinsurgency zones.

“Building mind-fitness with mindfulness training may help anyone who must maintain peak performance in the face of extremely stressful circumstances,” Jha contends, “from first responders, relief workers and trauma surgeons, to professional and Olympic athletes.”

So just as the excellent article above states, meditation is an effective tool not only for a more efficient warrior but also for releaving many of the stresses the cause Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. I have mentioned this in TIW and it is great to see a scientific study validating what is already obvious.

I will go further and say that as you learn to meditate you open up the pathway to intuition. The intuition needs for the mind to be quiet for only a fraction of time to come through.

Why is this not taught? Because of a system that is locked in the analytical side of the brain or right hemisphere. The meditative stress reducing, intuitive, creative side of the brain is the left hemisphere. The left hemisphere is traditionally ignored in every aspect of our society.

To break down this barrier the simplest, most efficient way to activate your intuition is learning to meditate on a daily basis. As you meditate you quiet the right brain enough so that the intuitive left brain can come through. Your higher-self or intuitive abilities come through this channel and bring through the information you need to accomplish your life purpose. If you have anxiety in your life or feel directionless then the intuitive side will get you back on purpose.

Let me give you an example of a meditation that I use to teach others how to tap this intuitive side of the brain.

You can follow this sequence yourself, have someone read it to you, and or record it and use it over and over.

Begin by taking a deep breath and holding it. Imagine all the tension and stress throughout your body building up as you hold your breath for several seconds.

Let out your breath in a rush and feel your entire body relax. Quite your mind and enjoy this moment.

Do this process once more. Tale in the breath, hold it for several seconds building up the tension, then let it all out. You are even more relaxed. Enjoy this moment.

Start by holding your awareness on both of your feet. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your feet 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath rapidly and let all the tension go out of your feet. Enjoy the moment of relaxation and empty your mind. Focus on nothing but your breath.

Move your awareness up to the calves. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your calves 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your calves. Enjoy the moment. Focus on the breath.

Move your awareness up to the knees. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your knees 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your knees. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness up to the thighs. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your thighs 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your thighs. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness up to the hips and groin area. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your hips and groin area 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your hips and groin area. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness up to the abdominal area and lower back. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your abs and lower back 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your abs and lower back. Enjoy the moment. If the mind starts to wander bring it gently back to the breath.

Move your awareness up to the chest and upper back. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your chest and upper back 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your chest and upper back. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness to the arms and hands. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your arms and hands 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your arms and hands. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness up to the shoulders and neck. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your shoulders and neck 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your shoulders and neck. Enjoy the moment.

Move your awareness up to the face, eyes and scalp. Take in a deep breath and hold it. Tense your face, eyes and scalp 100 % for several seconds. Let out your breath and let all the tension go out of your face, eyes and scalp. Enjoy the moment.

Now move your awareness to your heart. Imagine your heart breathing. As you intake breath imagine your heart inhaling. Hold the breath for several seconds and imagine your heart filled with the most powerful energy in the universe, Love. As you exhale imagine this love going out into the environment and going where it is needed unconditionally. Continue for several breaths.

With your focus still on your heart as you breath in and out the love split your focus to the center of your brain right behind the eyes. Keep your eyes soft but have your awareness on your pineal gland and heart at the same time as you breath in and out the love through both the heart and the pineal gland that sits between and connects both hemispheres of the brain. Continue for several breaths.

Now relax and just be still with no thought as you focus on no-thing but the breath for several breaths. You are now in the intuitive state…..

That’s it! Simple meditation but if you practice this everyday for at least 21 days straight you will build a habit that will last the rest of your life. You will eventually only need think of the breath coming in and out filled with love connecting the heart and pineal gland and you will be instantly in the intuitive zone. Whether you have bombs going off around you, people shooting at you, babies choking, semester exams or the question does this outfit make me look fat, you will be able to handle them all with grace and perfection once you learn how to go instantly to the intuitive state.

When I was a SEAL before we went on a long underwater dive with our re-breathers for hours at a time, we would mess with each other by singing an outdated song. Often an old disco tune that would play over and over in our heads to our personal consternation and the glee to those that had implanted the broken record in our consciousness.

I will leave you with a song that is not irritating but one that is always playing in my head when I’m overseas in combat zones. For those of you that have been following my posts you will know that my groups have not been attacked for several years. I attribute that success to holding the thoughts of love and projecting them out. Very similar to the meditation above in fact. So here’s a song that plays in my head often and that I hope many of you adopt if only occasionally.

All You Need Is Love
Beatles

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung.
Nothing you can say, but you can learn
How to play the game -
It’s easy.
Nothing you can make that can’t be made.
No one you can save that can’t be saved.
Nothing you can do, but you can learn
How to be you in time -
It’s easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
There’s nothing you can know that isn’t known.
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown.
There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where
You’re meant to be -
It’s easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
All you need is love. (All together now).
All you need is love. (Everybody).
All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
Love is all you need.
Love is all you need…
(Yesterday)
(Oh yeah)
(She love you, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(She love you, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(Oh, yesterday)
