One of the strongest motivations for many of us is the quest for the perfect mate. Wether you are currently searching or are currently involved in a relationship you will remember perhaps a relationship where you said on hindsight that you should have listened to your initial feelings about a particular person. It ended badly and you wondered to yourself how you could have been so careless not to recognize all the warning signs. These intuitions are often ignored by the egoic or left side of our brain. If most of our awareness is centered in the analytical process and we try to search for the perfect mate with our rational mind we will often be rewarded with failure.

Love or heart centered thinking is intuitive and also right brained oriented. Of course we still need to process information and stay grounded so we are not going to shut down our left brain (hopefully) and lose touch with the 3D world. We must learn to use our intuition in conjunction with our left brain to reach our full experiential potential.

We are beginning to see the word intuition used more often and in Pop Music it is popping up in the lyrics of many songs. It’s message is accurate and powerful.

Artist: Jewel | Album: 0304 | Song: Intuition

Jewel, "0304"

Follow your heart
Your intuition
It will lead you in the right direction
Let go of your mind
Your Intuition
It’s easy to find
Just follow your heart baby

Artist: Natalie Imbruglia | Album: Left of the Middle | Song: Intuition

Natalie Imbruglia, "Left of the Middle"

Intuition tells me how to live my day
Intuition tells me when to walk away
Could have turned left
Could have turned right
But I ended up here
Bang in the middle of real life

I remember the first time I saw my lovely wife I had a very strong intuitive feeling. I was working out in a gym where she was a personal trainer and fitness instructor. We were looking at each other across the room while I was working out when she came up to me.

She smiled as she approached and stuck out her hand and said “Hello I’m Tracy Jo and I’d like to thank you on behalf of all the women in the world for having such a wonderful body!”

Great line but of course she had me at Hello. This connection happened at a deeper more intuitive level. I could feel a very strong pull from my intuitive heart which I had not felt before when I first looked into her eyes.

When we have a “broken heart” from a previous relationship that went bad we often shut down the very thing that can lead us to true happiness.

Our losses are often precursors to greater future success if we learn from them. If you are repeating a pattern of failed relationships look at how you are in the relationship. Are you heart centered when establishing a new relationship or are you using mostly left brain egoic processing. Do you stay heart centered in your relationships? Perhaps these questions can help you in your current relationship and if you are searching help you find true love and keep it.

“Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, it will flow back and soften and purify the heart.”
- Washington Irving

“‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” – Alfred Lord Tennyson

News flash: The Hurtlocker  received 6 oscars including Best Picture! I think this is a major milestone in that as I discussed in the newsletter article released on 1 March and posted to the website a few days later below the main character shows a very high level of intuitive ability in his job as a EOD Tech.

The Hurt Locker is one of the best Iraq war movies to come out yet. Very realistic in manyways as to the environment that many of us encountered in Iraq. The military and civilian contractors were accurately portrayed as constant targets. The realism however was somewhat lacking in the tactics used by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team. But I’m not going to nit pick the details.

The Hurt Locker
Overall I give the film two thumbs up. It is a well paced, edge of the seat movie at times and displayed a surreal environment that looked every bit like the Baghdad, Iraq that I have worked in. I watched the movie with a group of guys that have also worked in Iraq as military and as contractors and they all enjoyed the movie immensely as well. Highly recommended!

The reason I picked this movie to review is that clearly the lead EOD character displayed a high level of intuitive ability. The team that he worked with could not understand him and in the beginning saw him as a threat to their safety. Over time they began to see that he was gifted and the team began to work quite effectively together. I can relate to this as I have worked with teams that saw me in a similar light. Over time my intuitive abilities have become recognized, accepted and sought after. Unfortunately this is an anomaly. One of the driving factors in my intuitive capabilities being accepted is my repeated demonstration of these abilities in keeping teams safe.

I feel that intuitive abilities in warriors will be more recognized and sought after in the future. As more Intuitive Warriors begin to make themselves known and others allow their abilities to be part of planning and operations then we will see the rapid transformation of the modern
soldier. Intuitive skills are inherent in all humans and can easily be developed as I talk about in The Intuitive Warrior.
